Jonathan T. Wolfe, M.D.

Dr. Jonathan Wolfe is a board-certified dermatologist, a recognized leader in the field of dermatology, and a leading expert in the management and treatment of chronic and acute skin conditions. He is the Division Head of Dermatology at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery Hospital, a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania, and the owner and managing partner of Dermatology Associates of Plymouth Meeting.

 

Dr. Wolfe is committed to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to his patients for a full range of skin conditions. He is continually sought out by his peers for his expertise and experience in advising and treating the most complex cases. His influence in the field is punctuated by his interest and investment in research. In 1997, Dr. Wolfe founded the research center at Dermatology Associates of Plymouth Meeting, where he and his colleagues lead a variety of research projects and clinical studies. His work has contributed to the advanced knowledge and treatment of skin cancer and inflammatory conditions of the skin, including psoriasis, alopecia, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis. He has published numerous research publications, journal articles and book chapters. He lectures nationally , serves on medical advisory boards, and is an Associate Editor of Practical Dermatology, a medical journal with comprehensive coverage of the latest technology, treatments, techniques, and developments in dermatology.

 

Dr. Wolfe began his undergrad education at the University of Rochester and furthered his education by attending Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical society and received the Ciby Geigy award for intelligence, leadership and compassion. He subsequently completed two residencies, the first in internal medicine at Cornell, where he also spent time at Rockefeller University researching the immunology of psoriasis. The second was at The University of Pennsylvania with the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Oncology, where he served as Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Wolfe planted roots in Philadelphia and started his career at the University of Pennsylvania as Director of the Pigmented Lesion Group (specializing in melanoma) before joining Dermatology Associates of Plymouth Meeting.
