Restylane L

Restylane-L is a hyaluronic acid filler that is used to plump out moderate-to-severe wrinkles around the forehead and mouth, as well as add volume to thinning, aging lips.  Restylane-L contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic that's used to minimize discomfort during the injection process.  Restylane-L addresses aging issues caused by the breakdown of collagen and elastin; by adding hyaluronic acid gel to these areas, patients will see instant and natural-looking plumpness.

How It Works

Restylane-L is a dermal filler, meaning it uses hyaluronic acid to add instant volume while increasing long-term collagen production.  Restylane-L is injected into the specific treatment area via a fine-tip needle.  The dermal filler gel acts as scaffolding to add instant volume, while hyaluronic acid helps encourage collagen production.  The process takes under 30 minutes, with initial results seen just a few days after treatment.

Area It Treats

Restylane-L can be used to treat a wide range of areas, including:

  • Forehead
  • Marionette lines around the mouth
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Lips

Restylane-L is an excellent anti-aging injection for patients who want to address wrinkles, fine lines, and loss of lip volume.

Benefits

Patients will see results from their Restylane-L injections just a few days after treatment. Swelling should be expected, which is why optimal results won't be seen until about two to three weeks after the procedure. Results can last up to 18 months.
