Sculptra®

Sculptra® is an anti-aging injection that helps naturally stimulate collagen production within the facial region. Sculptra® uses poly-L-lactic acid to increase collagen production deep within the dermis, thus correcting long-term collagen loss. Sculptra® emphasizes long-term results, as many patients see younger-looking skin for two or more years.

How It Works

Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic acid, a naturally occurring compound that can be used to replace lost collagen levels.  As the body absorbs Sculptra®, collagen levels continue to be increased, which helps promote long-lasting results. Sculptra® is made up of a series of three injections, each spaced about four weeks apart. Sculptra® is delivered deep into the dermis via a fine-tip needle; patients can request a topical anesthetic to manage any discomfort.

Area It Treats

Sculptra is most effective when it's used to treat the following areas:

  • Smile lines
  • Marionette lines
  • Chin wrinkles

Sculptra is best used to correct shallow wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth.

Benefits

Sculptra® injections are delivered in a series of three injections over the course of three months. Patients will see results throughout the months, with optimal results visible about a month after the final treatment. Sculptra® results can last for up to two or more years
