Fillers & Injectables
Fillers are often used together with injectables such as Botox® and Dysport®. Botox® and Dysport® contain minute amounts of a toxin called Botulinum bacteria that temporarily “freezes” muscles. These are carefully injected into the skin – at precise areas – to decrease muscle contractions that lead to creases and wrinkles. Crow’s feet, forehead lines, and neck bands are just some of the areas that can all be improved, and results can be seen within a few days to a week. This facial smoothing and relaxation of frown lines lasts at least three months.
Some patients will choose to have these injections only once, or occasionally for special events. Others may choose to have the injections done approximately every three months for optimum smoothing. Over time, with repeated series of injections, fewer units of Botox® or Dysport® may be needed and the results will be longer lasting. However, results will vary from person to person. Men and women both report high satisfaction with the results of these injections.
A highly skilled and trained Board-Certified Dermatologist with a high aesthetic sense can help you diminish deep lines and relax a face that appears to be tense, angry, or stressed. Injections with Botox® are recognized as extremely safe when properly performed.
Combining a Dermal Filler with the injection of Botox® can result in even better results. The combination can also reduce the amount of Filler needed for a suitable correction. If combining treatments, one option is to first smooth frown lines and wrinkles with Botox® or Dysport® at one session. A second session for Fillers is then scheduled about two weeks later. Combining Fractionated CO2 Laser, Dermal Fillers, and Botox® or Dysport® can potentially turn back the clock ten years, with even longer lasting results!
Together we can determine what treatments are optimal and what results are possible. Then we can plan together a schedule that meets your goals, budget, and calendar.
